There never was a couple who bickered more about food than Jason Stock and Ashlee Mason, humble residents of Fairpark, Salt Lake City, Utah. We like to cook, eat, and talk about food, so after many requests from friends, we've decided to share it all, right here right now.
Erected on January 1st, 2019, this site will be admittedly empty and sad-looking in the early days as we fill it up with content. Yes, we were dumb enough to start a food blog in 2019. Yes, we might as well post content on stone tablets at this point, but, well, what else do you do when you want to journal your food adventures and techniques? Ya Burned It isn't some repository of recipes you can find anywhere on the internet. What separates us from the rest of the herd is that we 'll pick apart any recipe we find that LIES to you about cooking times, show you shopping techniques in ethnic markets around the city, discuss funny words like 'kumquat', tell you what restaurants made us sad (and happy!), and go nuts over condiments! We're opinionated weirdos, so we want to entertain and teach you all about our favorite topic ever: Food!
